Welcome to JMD Nest ("the App"), a property and Paying Guest (PG) management platform developed and operated by JMD Solutions / JMD Solution Beyond ("we," "us," or "our").

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, including Property Owners, Staff/Administrators, and Tenants (collectively referred to as "Users" or "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and our website.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, accessing, or using the App and our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

To provide a seamless property management and rent tracking experience, we collect several types of information from our Users.

A. Personal Identification Information

  • Property Owners & Staff: Name, phone number, email address, property name, property address, and account passwords.
  • Tenants: Name, phone number, email address, permanent address, and join dates.

B. Tenant Verification Documents

To facilitate identity verification and rent agreement compliance required by property managers:

  • We collect copy uploads of identity documents such as Aadhar Cards, PAN Cards, and other related lease/ledger documents as explicitly uploaded by the tenant or property manager.
  • These files are stored securely and are only visible to the assigned property manager/owner and their authorized staff.

C. Payment and Transaction Details

  • Details of rent amounts, security deposits, payment status (Paid, Pending, Partial), transaction dates, and billing periods.
  • Manual Payments: Transaction reference numbers (UTR) and uploaded screenshots of payment receipts provided by tenants for payment verification.
  • Cash Payments: OTP verification logs between Tenants and Staff to record cash transactions.

D. Device and Technical Data

  • FCM Push Notification Tokens: We collect device tokens via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver real-time notifications (e.g., rent dues, notices, complaints).
  • Log Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and crash logs to aid in troubleshooting and app optimization.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following business and operational purposes:

To Manage Accommodations

Allocating rooms and beds, and maintaining up-to-date PG occupancy registers.

To Facilitate Billing & Payments

Generating rent due entries, sending alerts, verifying manual/online payments, and securing cash payment handovers via OTP.

To Send Real-Time Notifications

Sending push notifications about notices, payment statuses, and complaint updates.

To Generate Reports

Enabling property owners to compile monthly financial and occupancy statistics in downloadable PDF formats.

To Verify Identity

Assisting property owners in complying with local tenant verification regulations using uploaded document copies.

To Improve the Service

Diagnosing technical issues, fixing bugs, and enhancing the overall user interface of the App.

How Information is Shared

We value your privacy and do not sell your personal data to third parties. Information is only shared under the following conditions:

Between Tenants and Property Owners

A tenant’s documents, contact info, room details, and payment histories are shared directly with their property manager/owner to facilitate the tenancy.

Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers (such as hosting servers, database providers, and Firebase for push notifications) who assist us in operating the platform. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality obligations.

Legal Compliance

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority (e.g., local police verification requests).

Data Security and Retention

Security Measures: We use industry-standard encryption protocols (such as HTTPS/TLS and secure JWT authentication tokens) to protect your data during transit and storage. Password hashes are encrypted using secure cryptographic algorithms.

User Responsibilities: Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential. OTP codes for cash transactions should only be shared verbally between the tenant and the staff member handling the transaction.

Data Retention: We retain personal data and uploaded documents for as long as the tenant is active or as necessary to fulfill legal obligations. When a property manager deletes a tenant profile, their assigned bed is marked vacant, and their uploaded verification documents are permanently removed from our storage systems.

Your Rights and Choices

  • Access & Correction: You can review and update your profile information (such as name, phone, email, and password) directly through the settings panel in the App.
  • Document Deletion: Tenants may contact their property owners to request the deletion or update of uploaded verification documents.
  • Notification Preferences: You can manage or disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from minors. If we discover that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically for any changes.
